Collection: Dublin Prints

The city as it has always been drawn — Georgian squares, the two cathedrals, the Liffey at every hour of the day, streets under names they no longer answer to. James Malton set the template in the 1790s with his aquatints of Dublin's public buildings, and the architectural prints here sit in that same careful, unhurried tradition. Alongside the built city are its maps — Rocque's 1757 survey, Cooke's royal map, the walls that once ringed it — each one a working record of a city redrawing itself.
