Every Irish harbour holds a memory—this one might be yours.
The Harbour, Leenane
James Humbert Craig captures the quiet beauty of Connemara's most beloved inlet, where mountain and water meet in soft light. Painted in the 1920s, this work hangs in the National Gallery of Ireland and has become an icon of the West. This is your chance to bring it home.
About the Artist
James Humbert Craig (1877–1944) was a Belfast-born painter who fell in love with Connemara's landscape and returned there year after year. He worked in oils and watercolour, capturing the moody Atlantic light with a poet's eye. Craig became one of Ireland's most collected landscape painters, and his work defined how a generation saw the West.
