Michael Davitt (1846–1906) was an Irish nationalist, social reformer, and labor leader known for his pivotal role in the Land League. Despite losing an arm in a factory accident, he became a fierce advocate for tenant farmers' rights, organizing resistance against oppressive landlords in 19th-century Ireland. Davitt's efforts led to significant strides in land reform and social justice, shaping the trajectory of Irish politics and inspiring future generations of activists.
