Glenveagh National Park Framed Print

Glenveagh Castle overlooking the lough was built in the 1870s by John George Adair, a landlord whose name is still remembered in Donegal for the Derryveagh evictions of 1861, when he cleared roughly 244 tenants off this land. The lough itself owes none of that history — it's just still water and mountain, doing what it's always done regardless of who owned the view.
