Harry Clarke drew flowers the way your grandmother remembered them—precise, ornate, alive on cloth she'd never afford.
Clarke's Floral Textile Design
A delicate Art Nouveau composition of interlocking blooms rendered in graphite and watercolour, designed for Sefton Fabrics in Belfast around 1918–19. Clarke's pattern work balanced commercial craft with genuine artistry, turning industrial textiles into something worth keeping. This is your chance to own a design that shaped Irish homes during a pivotal moment.
About the Artist
Harry Clarke (1899–1931) was a Dublin-born designer and illustrator whose work touched everything from stained glass to book illustration to fabric design. Though illness cut his life short at 32, his output was prolific and restless—always searching for beauty in applied arts, not just fine art. Clarke believed good design belonged in everyday homes, not locked behind gallery doors. His textile work for Belfast manufacturers shows this democratic impulse clearly.Tracked, securely packaged, delivered in 2-5 business days.
