Killarney in a single wide sweep, painted around 1807.
Isaac Weld painted this panoramic view of Killarney around 1807 in watercolour, with graphite, white gouache and gum arabic. The sheet is a long, narrow strip, only about 31 cm wide, mounted on a board and lettered "Killarney" by hand at the lower left. The format suits the print: it runs about twice as wide as it is tall.
