A morning moment frozen in time—the elegance of Paris, painted by an Irish hand.

Le Petit Déjeuner

Sarah Purser captures the intimate ritual of breakfast with the soft light and movement of Impressionism. Painted in Paris in 1885, this work shows a woman at leisure, bathed in natural light and modern sensibility. This is your chance to bring it home.

Sarah Purser was born in Dungarvan and became one of Ireland's most accomplished painters of the 19th century. She studied in Paris under leading Impressionist influences and brought that refined European eye back to Irish art. Her work bridged tradition and modernity, earning her respect across two countries. She later founded An Túr Gloine, the stained glass cooperative that shaped Irish design for decades.
