Merrion Row, Dublin, near the Shelbourne Hotel, graphite on paper, drawn by Walter Osborne around 1895–1900.
Ornate gas lamps stand on iron posts beside the railings, tall houses close in along the street, and top-hatted pedestrians and a horse-drawn cab move off into the distance. Osborne caught it in quick graphite lines on a sheet only 12.7 × 20.3 cm. It is in the National Gallery of Ireland.
