That garden party you've only seen in your grandmother's old photographs—here it is, frozen in light.
The Croquet Party
Sir John Lavery captured an Edwardian summer afternoon where time moves slowly and elegance feels effortless. Painted in 1896, this work shows figures in refined dress moving through dappled garden light, a moment of leisure that defined an era. This is your chance to bring that golden light home.
About the Artist
Sir John Lavery (1856–1941) was born in Belfast and became one of Ireland's most celebrated painters. He trained in Glasgow and Paris, but always painted with the light of home in his work. Lavery moved between the salons of London and the Irish countryside, capturing the quiet luxury of his world with a soft, luminous touch that made elegance feel intimate rather than distant.Tracked, securely packaged, delivered in 2-5 business days.
